Burnett Livestock and Realty’s prime and store sale held on October 24 saw a yarding of 1250 head.
The meatworks section saw a correction due to the processors reducing the rate up to 30c.
Store cattle also saw a market correction due to the low rain falls in most of central and western Queensland and the coastal areas.
Bullocks sold for top 315c. Cows over 500kg topped at 258c. Cows 400kg to 500kg sold topping at 240c. Trade heifers over 400kg topped at 322c.
GJ&DM Everett, Childers sold Simbrah bullocks for 315c/$2010.
C&V Jensen, Biggenden sold Droughtmaster bullocks for 338c/$1758. NJ Augustine, Mundubbera sold grey Brahman cows for 258c/$1833.
Rod Seymour, Maryborough sold Droughtmaster cows for 252c/$1614. Jason Waldock, Gayndah sold Droughtmaster cows for 246c/$1587.

Feeder steers 400kg to 500kg yarded at the sale topped at 352c.
Although there were quite a number yarded in this weight range a high percentage had four teeth or more.

Cattle were drawn from Theodore, Scotchy Pocket, Tansey, Goomeri, Murgon, Monto, Tiaro, Bauple, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Mt Perry, Gayndah, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Childers, Bundaberg, South Kolan, Bucca, Rosedale, Lowmead, Miriam Vale, Gin Gin, Booyal and all local areas.
The next meatworks and store sale will be held on November 7.
