Clare Valley among SA’s best of best

A push to better the tourism sector in the Clare Valley will see three local businesses compete at the 2016 South Australian Tourism Awards.

Neagles Retreat Villas, Clare Valley Motel and Bike SA’s Annual Tour will compete to be recognied as SA’s best in tourism.

South Australian Tourism Industry Council general manager Shaun de Bruyn saidSouth Australians should be proud of the first class tourism experiences on offer, with Clare Valley being home to some of the finest tourism operators and businesses in Australia.

“The SA Tourism Awards are an important part in building South Australia’s tourism excellence. It is a whole of business award with a comprehensive criteria that showcases the outstanding achievements and success of our state’s tourism experiences,” Mr de Bruyn said.

“A Tourism Award win or medal is a prestigious accolade that raises the reputation and consumer recognition of a business, making it a powerful tool to enhance your marketing and increase your brand awareness amonga highly competitive industry.”

Mr de Bruyn said the awards process provided invaluable benefits to businesses, with feedback from past winners and entrants highlighting the program’s significant contribution to the business’ development and activities.

The Awards Ceremony, recognised asTourism’s Night of Nights, will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday, November 4, and will showcase some of the state’s finest tourism attractions, restaurants, accommodation businesses and more.

This year, the awards received 121 submissions, with most category winners going on to represent South Australia at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Darwin in 2017.

Mr de Bruyn wished all finalists the best of luck and congratulated them on their success.

“I encourage all those involved within our tourism industry to be a part of this prestigious event as we reveal which finalists will be named South Australia’s best in tourism for 2016.”
