Kate named leader for dedication

Kate Spradbrow from NRMA Gunnedahhas been named NRMA Agency Leader of the Yearat the recentNRMA Country Conference andAwards Night in Sydney.

The NRMA Leader of the Year award recognises the managers who excel at leading and coachingtheir teams, providing great customer service to their NRMA customers and community members.

Ms Spradbrow and her family have resided in Gunnedah for many years and she has managed the local NRMA Gunnedah office for the last 18 months.

She has been involved in a number of community and charitable events through the office, includingthe successful Pink Ribbon Day, Gunnedah Relay for Life, The Spirit of Christmas and theSES WOW day.

Ms Spradbrow said she was “very surprised” to receive the award.

“I’veonly been with the company 18 months and didn’t feel Iwas doing anything out of the ordinary to get the award,” she said.

“I wasn’t really expecting it.”

The manager said she was “excited” and “honoured”because it was considered to be a majoraward.

“It puts that confidence in you,”Ms Spradbrow said.

“It makes you that bit more passionate and motivatedwhen you know what you’re doing is right.”

Gunnedah NRMA proprieter Chris Mowle said NRMA was proud to have Ms Spradbrow as part of the NRMA agency group.

“Kate is an extremely deserving winner of the Leader of the Year Award as it recognises her willingness to go above and beyond to assist her customers, her community, whilst leading her team,” he said.

Ms Spradbrowaccepted the award in front of around300 of her colleagues from across NSW and the ACT.

This week, theGunnedah NRMA officeis supporting the Pink Ribbon and invite the communityto make it a successful fundraising event. The office is decorated in pink, staff are dressed in pink,printing on pink paper and selling Pink Ribbon merchandise.

Community members are invited to write the name of someone they love who has been affected by cancer on pink ribbons to be displayed on the office window.​
