CELEBRATE: One of our longest serving members, Joyce Simpson, cutting our 33rd birthday cake held at our August party.

We continue to do research for inquiries both local and from far away.

We welcome our new team members and thank our outgoing members for their tireless work.

Up and coming events include our photo workshop (digital photo restoration) at our rooms on November 5 from 2pm to 4pm at a cost of $5.

We only have a few vacancies left so if interested contact us on our email or call to 6382 4045 to claim a place and get information needed for the day.

We will be open on Wednesday and the Sunday of the Cherry Festival weekend at the usual times.

We are very excited that our new Young Lawn Cemetery Book is back from the printers and is available for $35, with $15 postage if that is required.

Our short monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday night of most months at 7pm in our club rooms at 2 Campbell Street (under the tower).

We then have a guest speaker or a half hour session on how to use equipment, programs and how to find specific information of resource held at our rooms.

All members and non-members are most welcome to attend.

We continue to receive newsletters from Australia-wide Family History Groups so if any of these are of interest to our members please contact us if your research is in a certain area and a copy may be able to be forwarded to you, or better still they are available for you to look at in our rooms during open hours.

A big thank you to sponsors and thank you to those who have sponsored and supported us by buying raffle tickets and assisting us in so many ways throughout the years. Our thanks go to FRRR for the recent grant which we used to buy a wonderful new printer. It has now been installed and it will be of great benefit to our group.
