TweetFacebookA video from last year’s International Lingerie Model of the Year title. The inspirational character works incredibly hard.

She works full-time at health insurer nib, owns Core Espresso in Darby Street and has a four-year-old daughter.

“I’m a big believer in being stronger than your excuses,” she said.

When she was younger, she competed in many modelling competitions.

She was crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australia back in 2002.

She had the time of her life in those days, so she decided to compete again.

“I’m super busy, but I wanted to do something for me that I loved,” she said.

She claimed thelingerie title last Friday at Sin City Nightclub in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

“Hanging out with beautiful girls and having an amazing time –why would you not want to do that again?”, she said.

“The fact I could still do it, took me a bit by surprise.”

After the win, she had “a couple of Espresso Martinis” to celebrate.

This was no surprise, given her love for coffee.

“I can’t function without it,” she said.

Good nutrition also helped.

“I’m all about clean eating,” she said, adding her cafe embraced this philosophy.

Bec had previously done a lot of swimsuit modelling.

Lingerie was something different.

“Lingerie can give women an amazing feeling and confidence boost. I love it,” she said.

The lingerie competition was inspired by Victoria’s Secret shows.

“The Victoria’s Secret models are the sexiest women in the whole world,” Bec said.

“Every girl dreams of being that.”

She thanked the Sydney Junction Hotel at Hamilton for hosting the competition’sNewcastle heat and supporting her bid for the title.
